Company Profile

Casey Fuller was awarded the Degree of Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park in May 2011.  The title of Casey's thesis was “Investigation of JP-8 Autoignition Under Vitiated Combustion Conditions.” The aim of this research, which was supported by the USAF, was to examine the effect of multiple aspects of vitiated combustion, including temperature, equivalence ratio and typical gas turbine exhaust species, have on jet fuel autoignition through the measurement of ignition delay time at atmospheric and sub-atmospheric pressure in CSE's in-house flow reactor. Results of this work have provided further insight into the significance of vitiation on jet fuel combustion, especially the effect of NOX species in the intermediate to high temperature regime as well as providing validation data for CSE's detailed kinetic model development program." Congratulations to Casey for his completion of the program.
