Mr. Ramotowski is a Principal Engineer for Combustion Science & Engineering, Inc (CSE) and has over 18 years of experience in the energy, combustion and fuels area including experience with boiler burners, gas turbine combustors, fuel cells, fuel reforming, biofuels and computational fluid dynamic analysis.  His current work at CSE focuses on combustion and emissions testing, evaluation of alternative and renewable fuels and consulting efforts on design, development and commercialization of products used in the energy industry.  He also spends time analyzing renewable energy technologies along with the domestic and global biofuels industry and carbon markets.

Prior to joining CSE, Mr. Ramotowski worked for Foster Wheeler and John Zink/Todd Combustion designing low NOx gas, oil and pulverized coal burners for large utility and industrial boiler applications.  He also worked for GE Power Systems analyzing improvements to the heat transfer and ventilation of large industrial generators through the use of computational fluid dynamics and field testing.  He also worked for Analysis and Design Application Company, Ltd. (Adapco) as a consulting engineer performing high-end computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analyses for clients in the aerospace, automotive and power industries.  He also worked for a fuel cell start-up company called Epyx (now known as Nuvera Fuel Cells) as a project manager and group leader of the combustion & chemical engineering group.

Mr. Ramotowski graduated from Drexel University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and in 1992 with a Masters of Science degree also in Mechanical Engineering.  His Masters Thesis work focused on the study of low and intermediate temperature chemistry of hydrocarbon fuels with a focus on improving the understanding of how pre-flame chemistry influences spark-ignition engine knock (autoignition) and diesel engine ignition.  Mr. Ramotowski is a member of the Combustion Institute, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
